Pichwai is a traditional style of art form that emerged in 17th century at the Nathdwara temple in Rajasthan. The word Pichwai stands for hanging at the back (entrenched in Sanskrit where "Pichh" means back and "wais" means hanging). Pichwais is all-encompassing painting that delineate histrionic segment from Lord Krishna's life, typically dangle behind the holy place of deity in local shrines. These elaborately handpainted artworks celebrate the different moods and expressions of Krishna, and mostly depict temple rituals like the adornment (shringaar) of Shrinathji according to the seasons or festivals in the Pushtimarg calendar: Janamashtami and Gopashtami, for example. A popular depiction of Krishna found in Pichwais is the Chappan Bhog (a feast of 56 delicacies) rendition as an offering to the deity. Elements of the Indian monsoon like the peacock, the lotus, and even his beloved cows are featured prominently and repeatedly.

This pichwai traditional art has been carried in our family from our ancestors. We are making this art form from dated back around 60-70 years ago.

·       We Ship Worldwide from India within 48 Hours of receiving confirmed payment.

·       All the items are shipped through India Post with the service of Registered Airmail. This service takes 20-40 days to deliver the products. This service is not traceable.

·       Expedited shipping from Private Courier like DHL, Dartairservice, Aramex and TNT etc. with the delivery time of 3 to 7 business days will be charged $10 extra.

·       There is no Sunday delivery and in expedited shipping the company cannot deliver to P.O. Box or military addresses (APO, FPO, etc.). If you wish to have your package delivered to these types of addresses, then we would ship it from India postal services.

·       All package posted out from us will be packed well to ensure the quality by international delivery.
