Voigtlander COLLINEAR Series II No.4 Focus 7 7/8 inch (200mm) F5.6 Lens

for large format photography 5x7, 4x5, (or maybe 8x10?)

Glass is very clean and bright, with no scratches or cleaning marks or fungus or haze.
(not easy for old lens like this)

Aperture sets nicely by a small wheel, which is marked:
" 5.6, 8, 11.3, 16, 22, 45, 64"

On a shutter made by:
"Multi Speed Shutter Company New York", U.S.A.

On wooden lensboard of 145 x 145 mm (or ~ 5 5/8 x 5 5/8 ")

Please see pictures and video for more details.

It seems the shutter needs adjustment or cleanup.  I am not familiar with this shutter, so I don't know if it works or needs more part(s), but online search shows that "Multi Speed Shutter Co." made some really advanced shutters around the turn of last century (event to 1/2000 sec), since 1908 and a wiki page showed an ad from 1911 for their products featured exactly the same shutter as this one.

See the video for half of the disc rotating.

So just this rare shutter is worth playing with in my opinion.

Comes with original leather lens cap (front).  The gold lettering on the cap is worn, but it seems it says " C.P. Goerz, ..."
It fits perfectly.

Serial #
No. 62673
(on both front and back of the lens, in gold)
