POSTER STAMPS ARGENTINA PATAGONIA TERRE DE FEU MAGELLAN STRAIT CAP HORN SEALS PINGUINS NESTLE

This is a marvellous set of 7 poster stamps edited by Swiss firm Nestlé-Peter-Cailler-Kohler Chocolate. The set belongs to the series Sciences, Discoveries & Explorations edited in the 1950s and represents series n. 118 which theme is about La Terre de Feu.

The collection is complete which add to the extreme difficulty of having all of them stay together after all this time. The stamps are made of thin paper with dimension 4.7 x 4.5 inches for the big one and 1.6 x 2.2 inches for the smalls. Difficult readable text on the back of the stamps by Nestlé.

The stamps from left to right and from top to bottom:

Fuégiens chassant les oiseaux – Le Romanche-Clacier au cap Horn – La vegetations tourmentée par les vents – Fillette de la tribu Onas – Colonie de phoques – Pingouins sur leur nid – L’élevage intensif du mouton.
