Explanation of the black cross problem
All adjustable ND filters will have this black x problem, the longer the focal length used the less the effect of the cross-hatching. The dark cross and the vignetting will be noticeable at large stops of reduction and will disappear naturally if you continue to rotate the filter, this is a physical phenomenon and not a product problem. (Suggestion: gradually reduce the density value and narrow the aperture until the black cross disappears.)
