=====#A===Vintage SPLIT CHRONOGRAPH 14 size or  42MM. OPEN FACE PROTOTYPE EXPERIMENTAL MODEL WALTHAM RIVERSIDE POCKET WATCH MOVEMENT. SERIAL NUMBER 3492950 ON FRONT PLATE AND ALSO TRAIN BRIDGE BUT ON CHRONOGRAPH BRIDGE WAS SUPERIMPOSED TO 3942950. THE SMALL WHEEL UNDER THE HOUR WHEEL IS MISSING AND A PHOTOGRAPH OF WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IS IN THE SECOND TO LAST PHOTOGRAPH, AS WELL AS THE SETTING LEVER THAT WAS NOT INSTALLED AND HOW IT WOULD FIT AND LOOK.  NO PROVISION FOR SETTING THE HANDS, THE LEVER SET SLOT AND SUCH HAS NOT BEEN CUT. THE LAST TWO PHOTOGRAPHS SHOW A MOVEMENT WITH THE WHEEL UNDER THE HOUR WHEEL THAT IS MISSING AND THE SETTING LEVER MECHANISM THAT HAD NOT BEEN INSTALLED. THE HANDS ARE MISSING AND THE TIP FOR THE CENTER SECONDS HAND POST IS MISSING. THE MOVEMENT RUNS, THE CHRONOGRAPH FUNCTIONS STOP START FLYBACK.  SNAP ON ENAMEL FULL DOUBLE SUNK DIAL, THE 2 HUNTING STYLE FOUND TO EXIST DID NOT HAVE THE DIALS, THIS ONE DOES. THE CENTER AND SECONDS BIT HAS BEEN REINFORCED WITH CRYSTAL CEMENT AS IT WAS SHAKEY.  NOT THE TYPICAL WALTHAM SPLIT SECONDS CHRONOGRAPH- THIS HAS THE SPLIT MECHANISM UNDER THE DIAL LIKE MANY ENGLISH OR SWISS AND THE CHRONOGRAPH MECHANISM ON THE BACK PLATE. WALTHAM WAS TRYING TO DEVELOP THEIR OWN CHRONOGRAPH MECHANISM BEFORE ADOPTING THE LUGRIN  CHRONOGRAPH MOVEMENT DESIGN AND PAYING RIGHTS TO IT AND THIS IS ONE OF THE FEW SURVIVORS OF THE WALTHAM PROTOTYPE DEPARTMENT. THEY NEVER PUT THE LEVER SET ON IT AS IT LIKELY DID NOT PASS DEVELOPMENTAL STAGE.
