This is a nice example of a vintage water jug with "Ice guard", which I believe dates to around the early 1900's and could even date to the late 1800's.

Considering it's age, I would say this jug is in a lovely condition with no dings or dents. There is quite a bit of the silver plate missing on the inside of the jug (see photo.4) and signs of rubbing around the base (see photo.5), otherwise in a remarkably good condition.
