The Absolutely Fabulous Throw were popular knitted afghan kits in our retail needlecraft shops for decades. These wonderful kits came in 6 patterns and 22 color varieties (over 130 combinations!) using a variety of mostly natural fiber yarns including mohair, cotton, wool, ribbon, and acrylics. Each afghan is about 40" x 48" without the tassels.
We can assemble a custom and unique made-to-order kit in a variety of color schemes. See ordering instructions below.

The original manufacturer closed many years ago and all original yarns are discontinued. However, our retail needlecraft shop has been in business since the 1970s and we have an extensive inventory of high-quality yarns from Anny Blatt, Colinette, Filatura Di Crosa, Gedifra, Katia, Gedifra, Rowan, Stacy Charles, Tahki, and others from which we assemble these kits. Each kit has 8 yarns which include 3 mohairs, 1 wool, and speciality textured yarns such as cotton or rayon ribbons, knobby yarn, and viscose/acrylic/chenille. The yarn brands, yarn lines, and prices will vary depending on the color scheme and inventory.
To place a custom order (for a kit not already in the Color Scheme list) please first send us a message with the color variety that you seek, and we will assemble a kit and send you a picture for review or changes. If we created something that you like, then we will add it to this eBay listing so you can purchase it. All messaging and purchases will be done on eBay to preserve buyer/seller protections.
Kit prices vary between $170 and $230 depending on the yarns used. The yarn quantities are the same for either pattern (scallops or stripes) and you will need to let us know which instructions you want either via order comments or eBay messaging.
Keep in mind that the completed afghan pictures are only to show the patterns and sample color schemes. The actual yarns and colors are shown in each color scheme in the dropdown list.
