Trade names: CPV-1 (Color developing agent-1, USSR and Russia), CD-1 (hydrochloric acid salt, Color Developing Agent 1, USA, Eastman Kodak), T-22TSS.
≥98.0%
Synonym: N,N-Diethyl-p-phenylenediamine sulfate salt, 4-Amino-N, N-diethylaniline sulfate salt
CAS Number 6283-63-2
EC Number 228-500-6
MDL number MFCD00012993

Application
In biology, similar to N, N-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine, it can be used to detect certain oxyreductases.
In photography, it was used in the color development process to process photographic materials with non-diffusing hydrophilic color-forming components. It gives a good yield of the dye, but because of its toxicity, they try to replace it with other color developing substances: CPV-2, CD-2, CD-3, CD-4.
