Description

Here is an affordable piece of currency from the 1886 $10 silver certificate type. There are three notes with similar obverses. The 1891 and the 1908 have the easier to get open back. This is the rare 1886 variety with the ornate back. And it has the earlier small round red seal. It is called the tombstone note because the portrait frame looks like a tombstone. The Freidberg number is 292. This is a great note for a type set. It is a tough type. This note is graded by PCGS as Very Fine 25. You don't have to take my word for the grade of the note, you just have to trust PCGS.
