The Wand Pendant

Root wood is rare and unusual to find, since it requires the tree it once belonged to to have fallen - such, sadly was the case with the Ash tree this wand came from. I found the fallen tree on a walk in Somerset - it had fallen across a path and had already been sawn into pieces.

I gathered some of the wood for wands and pendants, like this one. I carved the end into a point, leaving the bark for a handle and hung it from a generous length of waxed cotton cord with a vintage glass bead. Finally it was been treated with local beeswax polish, and will have another coat before it leaves for its new owner.

It measures about 4.75 inches/12cm long.

The Ash Tree is frequently named as the Norse World Tree in Mythology. It's said to grow through all the realms.

Greenwoman Crafts

Greenwoman Crafts is a small Pagan craft business run by a practicing witch of many years' experience. I try to source my materials ethically and sustainably. Wood for most of the items comes from my family's organically-managed, fully-sustainable woodland.

I make every attempt to reuse and recycle where-ever possible, and this includes my packaging materials (alas this is not always possible), I encourage my customers to continue to do so!

All items are new and unused, I prefer not to energetically charge magical items, leaving that for their new owners to do. All items are crafted with joy and love.
