This is an English brown leather soft shell mutton leg-style shotgun carrying case.

The inside of the flap features makers label reading:

And is dated:
'1944'


'Army & Navy Stores was a department store group in the United Kingdom, which originated as a co-operative society for military officers and their families during the nineteenth century before becoming a limited liability company in the 1930s'​

The case features its original leather handle, along with a buckle and strap closure flap and a hanging loop to the end

The inside is lined with green baize has a movable divider to keep the shotgun in place
