Up for sale is an original Wampa MIB by Kenner from 1981. This is the Rebel Commander Scene variant and a little harder to find. This is also the mail away/catalog variant. You can tell this because the main flap has been folded over with factory tape (see rolled in the light pic #22 for further reference) and you can see the catalog number tag on it as well.

The box:

The box looks very nice. It has nice dark colors to it. The bottom is still factory sealed. It is clean all the way around. It is nice and square. All of the flaps are present. There is a little rip in the opening portion on the top flap (see pics #14 and 23 for further reference). There is a little shelf wear but it is quite minor.

The insert:

The insert is nice with excellent color. It is Kenner authentic and original. The circular cut out where the Wampa’s head goes has minimal wear.

The Wampa:

The Wampa is in very nice condition. He has nice paint detail with tight joints. He is mostly white. He is nice and glossy. His eyes have a hint of violet color to them as opposed to the traditional black matte. It’s a little hard to see the subtle difference (see pic #24 for further reference). The Wampa on the left is the one that you’ll receive. The Wampa on the right is for reference only and is not included in this listing.

The Kenner catalog:

The catalog is nice with no rips, tears, or writing in it.

This would be perfect for someone trying to add a nicer conditioned 1st release version Wampa to their Star Wars collection.
