Fortune Gallo breaking ground for the new home of the San Carlos Opera Company in New York. The property is in West 54th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue and on the site a two million dollar theater is to be constructed.

Fortune Thomas Gallo was an Italian-born opera impresario. Gallo was owner and General Manager of the traveling San Carlo Opera Company from 1913 until its disbandment in the late 1950s.
