This beautiful blue art pottery jardiniere was made by Roseville in 1937.  The smooth finish with the white thornapple flower and yellow-green leaves is very soothing and elegant. The blue is darker at the bottom and transitions into pale yellow as it meets the white thornapple blossom near the rim. The 2 small "handles" balance the planter nicely. No issues at all and looks like new. It is 4" tall and 5" in diameter. It has both the incised mark on the bottom and the original sticker which was used in the years 1936- 1938. The bottom marking is "Roseville 638-4", and the sticker says "Roseville Pottery with a capital letter 'R' with a small 'v' inside the letter R".
