The Great Utopia: Russian And Soviet Avant Garde Exhibition 1915-1932 

Near Fine original poster printed on the occasion of exhibition held at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City September 25 to  December 15, 1992. Measures 30" x 17," printed on thick glossy stock, some minor wear, one creased corner not affecting image, no tears, two nicks to bottom edge but not pinholes,  poster likely was mounted to wall and affixed by pinning below edge so the poster rested on top, no pinholes to top. 

Features image of 1930 propaganda poster by Russian Constructivist painter and designer Valentina Kulagina (1902-1987). Created for International Women Workers' Day depicting a women working on a factory assembly line and demonstrators,  red vertical borders with white text on both sides. Constructivism saw modernization as an equalizer, the imagery and messaging a call to action around innovation and collectivism. A rare poster in excellent condition
