Description

We are pleased to be offering today this fantastic tiger sawn oak Victorian age banquet table that opens to 12 feet. It comes with six factory leaves that are 13.75 inches wide. Two leaves are skirted. It has a gadroon edge. It is a split pedestal heavy carved banquet table that dates from the 1890s. Look at the photos to see the unbelievable tiger sawn selection. The base is twice the size of normal. The lion heads are huge and there are acanthus carvings all over the legs and columns. The base terminates in a ball and claw or talon foot. The table when closed is 54 inches by 60 inches. The table is 30 inches high to the tabletop and 25.5 inches high to the bottom of the skirt. The table base splits apart with a center leg to support the table when it is extended. The table and leaves all have rope edges. There is a shiny clear coat finish that will rub down to lose the shine. It is a table that could be refinished in a dark oak stain or de-glossed and it would be unbelievable!! Please contact us for a quote if you are interested in a restoration service. There are lamination seams on top, but it is a seam filler that was done previously in the wrong color. This table came out of an area home off the coast, and we also purchased a set of 10 tiger sawn ball and claw dining chairs that have the same finish out of the same estate. The last photo will show the chairs around the table. This listing is for the table only. If you are interested in both items, please contact us to make sure they are both still available. Shipping starts at $475 for a driveway delivery in our normal New England delivery area. Outside the normal area will incur additional delivery charges, which could add on especially if you're on the West Coast. Please contact us prior to purchase with your zip code to obtain a quote for additional shipping outside of New England.
