For your consideration is a wonderful and mysterious black and white surrealist photograph of a beautiful woman. I believe this piece dates to the 1940’s and was taken by an unknown NYC photographer. This artist was obviously inspired by the work of Man Ray and used various forms of negative manipulation in the darkroom.

A friend of mine acquired a portfolio of these images while cleaning out a storage unit in Brooklyn, NY. I purchased the whole lot of photos and will continue to list them if there seems to be interest.

The photo in good condition and measures 12” by 10” wide. It is printed on a sort of “pearl” finished paper.. not matte, not glossy. There are no signatures dates or other identifying marks.

Please examine all of the images for a good visual description. Feel free to email with any questions. Thanks for looking.
