This is a porcelain Chinese figurine of a scholar decorated in famille verte colors with yellow and purple (aubergine) flowers on the robes. It's likely late Qing Dynasty (early 20th century) or Republic. The base is stamped CHINA.

Condition: The book he's holding has a chip in it. There are a couple minor chips where the head was inserted into the body.
