This is a remarkable Druce & Company burled walnut sideboard with some of the finest bronze mounts, porcelain plaques and it's original red velvet interior with bowed glass ends and a glass vitrine door in the center. The sideboard was designed to be a serving and display piece for china and silver, so it effectively functions as a china cabinet or vitrine as well. This is also a very shallow piece in terms of depth. Where most sideboards are 24-28 deep, this one is 20.5 inches deep, so its perfect for smaller areas. The piece dates to the 1890s era and measures 67.75 wide x 20.5 deep x 45.25 tal. The piece has normal signs of age including an age crack on top which we will repair for the buyer if desired. The interior can be easily reupholstered inexpensively if desired.
