Movie Synopsis:

"Hits like a fat slug from the .38 Lee Marvin uses as an extension of his fist." - NEWSWEEK

Director John Boorman (Deliverance, Hope and Glory) and Oscar-winner Lee Marvin (Cat Ballou, The Dirty Dozen) team in this stylish, landmark thriller that gives it to you Point Blank.

Marvin plays Walker, a professional criminal who helps pull off an underworld heist, then is double-crossed, gunned down and left for dead on deserted Alcatraz Island. But Walker resurfaces in Los Angeles to track down his share of the loot. Aided by a lovely accomplice (Angie Dickinson), he takes on the syndicate at its own deadly game, doggedly stalking his prey across the ever-changing backdrop of seething '60s LA. The trail piles twist upon twist as it leads Walker to a cunning mobman (Carroll O'Connor of "All In The Family" and "In The Heat Of The Night") and a jolting surprise ending.

Point Blank is "now regarded as one of the best films of the mid-60s" (Leonard Maltin, TV Movies and Video Guide). It packs plenty of cinematic ammo... and hits the entertainment mark dead-on.

About Video CD (VCD):

Video CD (abbreviated as VCD, and also known as Compact Disc Digital Video) is a home video format and the first format for distributing films on standard 120 mm (4.7 in) optical discs. The format was widely adopted in Southeast Asia superseding the VHS and Betamax systems until DVD-Video became affordable in the first decade of the 21st century.

The format is a standard digital data format for storing video on a compact disc. VCDs are playable in dedicated VCD players and widely playable in most DVD players, personal computers and some video game consoles.
