Ferrophosphorus

Compound:

Phosphorus 16%

Silicon 6-15%

Manganese 15%

Sulfur 0.3%

The rest of the iron

All grades of ferrophosphorus contain titanium (0.3-2.2%), vanadium (0.2-0.4%), carbon (0.03-0.5%).

Ferrophosphorus is an alloy of iron and phosphorus that also contains silicon, manganese, sulfur, titanium, vanadium, and carbon. Melting point 960°C. They are used for alloying free-cutting steels, for the production of antifriction cast irons, and for increasing the fluidity of cast irons.
