Das 9144A war ein modulares 1/4-Zoll-Bandlaufwerk mit 16 Spuren und einer HP-IB-Schnittstelle. Es hatte eine Übertragungsrate von 2 MB pro Minute. Es wurde für Backup, Softwareverteilung und Datenaustausch in verschiedenen HP-Computersystemen verwendet. Die Bandkassetten fassten bis zu 67 MB Daten. Der 9144A verwendete den CS/80-Befehlssatz.

The 9144A was a modular, quarter-inch, 16-track tape drive with an HP-IB interface. It had a transfer rate of 2MB per minute. It was used for backup, software distribution and data exchange in a variety of HP computer systems. The tape cartidges held up to 67MB of data.

The 9144A used the CS/80 command set.

*Just tested it while turning it on HP was last tested functional about 1 year ago. The associated monitor 35731B has now become defective and is part of another offer
