The Makita 2012NB is an excellent thicknesser but the stock dust / chip extraction hood does not perform well and regularly clogs due to the sideways extraction port.
This upgraded hood fits to the machine with the existing bolts and mounting bar and provides a 100mm central port for much more efficient extraction. This will even work well with reducers to other hose sizes (63mm, 50mm e.t.c.).
It is well made, sturdy thick plastic which will serve you well for years to come, saving many hours sweeping up chips and dust! The design is well tested and I have received excellent reviews for it.
