Quote from the Zeno catalog "There is coin in the name of Jahanshah from Astarabad and Herat dated 862, and from Sari dated 864.  Jahanshah did indeed have an earlier occupation of the east, just a few months at Astarabad and Herat, but apparently several years at Sari, though it is not clear whether Sari was actually under Qara Qoyunlu control, or was run by a local authority that nominally recognized Jahanshah for political or military reasonIss, a common phenomenon in Iran during the 14th and 15th centuries."

Qara Qoyunlu, 809-874 +» Jahanshah (Abu’l-Muzaffar), 841-872 » AR ½ tanka, local type of Māzandarān region
