Here is a rare original VEF Minox Riga subminiature camera. The camera has the serial number No. 07643 which makes it an early camera. This looks to be one of the ones that was made when Russia occupied Latvia as the 'Made in Latvia' designation has been milled out and they transformed the Riga under the VEF Minox by putting lines through it. The camera cosmetically looks really nice with shiny chrome and shows some wear from age and use. You can't see it well in the reflection but the area that covers the lens has the slanted F =15 Minostigmat 1:3.5. The shutter is firing but I am not an expert in these camera so have not tested any of its features. I am selling it "as-is" as a rare collectible and not as a usable camera. The camera does not stay completely closed when you push it closed. It springs back slightly about a 1/16th of an inch as seen in the first picture. To cock the camera it must be first pushed completly closed and then pulled open to then fire the camera. Please look at the many larger then life size pictures above.
