I bought a bunch of soccer items from the son of Gino D'Ippolito at his Yonkers NY home estate sale... I have his MISL referee bag, Soccer ball, FIFA referee pin, and a 1959 IASL Italian American Soccer League of New York pennant that belonged to Gino.
Gino passed away in 2019 at the age of 88
Up for auction is;
Gino's personal travel bag !!! The best part of it is that it has his personal info tag written by Gino !!
Bag is a MISL Union Jacks Club collection nylon bag with shoulder strap. Even has a pair of his old laces inside
About Gino;
Gino, the only referee featured in a MSL Trading Card, was the official at Pele's first and last games as a New York Cosmos player. He has officiated over 2,000 pro games and refereed international games in 29 countries. The world soccer stars from the late 1970s to the early '80s have played in games refereed by Gino. The native of Colledimezzo, Italy has been a Yonkers resident since 1951 and he has always found the time to help mentor referees of all levels.
D’Ippolito also was featured on a trading card – by Pacific Trading Cards during the 1990-91 Major Soccer League season.
