Vintage Nails

I am finally cleaning out some things that I got from my grandfather's workshop.
He passed away in 1968, and yes, that is a long time ago.
He worked as a carpet layer for many years.
I believe these are carpet nails / tacks
and/or upholstery nails.
He kept them in an old coffee tin so, I don't know the maker, etc.
Feel free to reach out with any information or questions.

These are new, unused nails.
Flat heads
Tapered, square-ish nails ending at a very sharp point
Probably iron or steel
Forged?
Measures 7/8"
These are probably from the 1940's - 1950's.
Some rust.

Selling by the half pound, which is approximately 490 nails.
