Historique : De nombreuses petites pierres d'apparence similaire ont été trouvées ensemble en Algérie le 24 mars 2022, par une équipe représentée par David Lehman. Une partie du matériel a également été acquise par John Higgins, Jasper Spencer, Ziyao Wang et Preston Allen. Caractéristiques physiques : Les pierres (total 2 090 g) n'ont pas de croûte de fusion et ont un extérieur brun clair altéré. Les intérieurs frais sont gris moyen avec de petits clastes blancs diffus et de rares minuscules grains métalliques visibles. Pétrographie : (A. Irving, UWS et P. Carpenter, WUSL) Des analyses par microsonde électronique ont été effectuées sur de petites tranches provenant de quatre pierres distinctes. Bien qu'il existe une certaine hétérogénéité minéralogique et compositionnelle entre ces morceaux, tous sont constitués de clastes minéraux de plagioclase calcique (principalement de l'anorthite mais aussi un peu de bytownite sodique), d'olivine, de pyroxène à faible teneur en Ca et d'augite au sein d'une matrice très fine et peu microvésiculaire contenant du Ti- chromite, troilite, kamacite et barytine secondaire mineure. Géochimie : Plagioclase calcique (An70,7-97,7Or1,1-0,0, N = 12), olivine (Fa22,9-49,5, FeO/MnO = 86-114, N = 14), pyroxène à faible teneur en Ca (23,1-26,5 Wo4.3-4.4, Fe)/MnO = 56-57, N = 2), pigeonite (Fs22.0-32.3Wo6.9-12.5, FeO/MnO = 52-61, N =7), augite (Fs11. 9-19,4Wo35,8-38,6, FeO/MnO = 42-52, N = 5). Classification : Lunaire (brèche feldspathique). Spécimens : 60,2 g incluant une section épaisse composite polie à quatre tranches à l'UWB ; 1064 g avec M. D. Lehman ; 483 g avec M. J. Higgins et M. J. Spencer ; 137 g avec WangZ ; 431 g avec M. P. Allen.

Classification information: Béchar 003 30.887°N, 3.301°W Béchar, Algeria Found: March 24, 2022 Classification: Lunar meteorite (feldspathic breccia) History: Many small stones of similar appearance were found together in Algeria on March 24, 2022, by a represented team by David Lehman. Some of the material was also acquired by John Higgins, Jasper Spencer, Ziyao Wang and Preston Allen. Physical Characteristics: The stones (total 2,090 g) have no fusion crust and have a weathered light brown exterior. The fresh interiors are medium gray with small diffuse white clasts and rare tiny metallic grains visible. Petrography: (A. Irving, UWS and P. Carpenter, WUSL) Electron microprobe analyzes were performed on small slices from four separate stones. Although there is some mineralogical and compositional heterogeneity between these pieces, all consist of mineral clasts of calcic plagioclase (mainly anorthite but also some sodium bytownite), olivine, low-Ca pyroxene and augite within a very fine and not very microvesicular matrix containing Ti-chromite, troilite, kamacite and minor secondary barite. Geochemistry: Calcium plagioclase (An70.7-97.7Or1.1-0.0, N = 12), olivine (Fa22.9-49.5, FeO/MnO = 86-114, N = 14), low pyroxene Ca content (23.1-26.5 Wo4.3-4.4, Fe)/MnO = 56-57, N = 2), pigeonite (Fs22.0-32.3Wo6.9-12.5, FeO/MnO = 52- 61, N =7), augite (Fs11.9-19.4Wo35.8-38.6, FeO/MnO = 42-52, N = 5). Classification: Lunar (feldspar breccia). Specimens: 60.2 g including four-slice UWB polished composite thick section; 1064 g with M. D. Lehman; 483 g with Mr. J. Higgins and Mr. J. Spencer; 137g with WangZ; 431 g with M. P. Allen.
