Antique Brazilian Hardwood Marquetry Bookends South America.

This set of handmade bookends were purchased in Brazil in 1981 by a gentleman who was in military. He attached the typed provenance to one of them explaining that when he purchased them in 1981, they were 43 years old. They were hand crafted in Brazil with marquetry depicting a map of South America. Each piece of inlaid wood represents the part of the country where that wood is grown.

They are preowned and in very good condition considering their age. No chips or cracks. Normal wear.
