Antique Cast Iron bottle cork roller press Enterprise #2 Pharmacy Apothecary

#2 cast into the body, and from research , apears to be made by Enterprise manufacturing company.


Cast iron press would press the cork, squeezing it to a smaller size, keeping it perfectly cylindrical.

Used by druggist, pharmacies,  makers of medicinal cures,  to fit a cork to the bottle that they were dispensing medicine into. Wood base is 12 3/8" by 2 1/2". From front place where the mechanism is secured to the base to the end of the handle is 12"

Has holes where this was probably mounted to a counter top.

Overall condition is good, with some paint spots that could be removed with a chemical/elbow grease. No damage to the iron castings.
