US M42 Duster anti-aircraft tank with two Bofors 40mm cannon. Adopted in 1952, the M42 was transferred to the National Guard by 1963 as part of DoD's missile mania phase, then returned to regular service for use in Viet Nam in the air defense, assault gun, convoy escort, firebase defense and artillery roles, then returned to the National Guard before final removal from US service in 1988. Saw extensive exports to US allies.
