The Metal Store now stocks a large range of scaffold fittings and galvanised tube for use on site or furniture. 

All the fittings are for 48.3mm tube.

The types of fitting we stock are:

Pressed Steel is cold pressed into shape from a single piece of material and drop forged steel is formed using heat. The difference is that drop forging leaves the centre of the metal not as hard as the outside, but press forging gives more uniform hardness for larger components.

We stock all the following fittings in Pressed Steel or Drop Forged Steel.

Double Coupler - weight 0.96kg

The Metal Stores Double Coupler is a heavy duty forging with large rivet design used to connect two scaffold tubes at a 90 degree angle. It Features a solid body construction for cruciform stiffness. This fitting has been tested to EN74 Class B and has a slip resistence of 15 kN & Failure load of 30 kN. This fitting is available in two options, Drop Forged and Pressed Steel.

Swivel Coupler - 1.13kg

Our Swivel Couplers are designed to connect two 48.3mm scaffold tubes at any angle and can be used with all types of scaffold. This fitting is mostly used when diagonal bracing is required. Also commonly used with guard rails, lighting rigs and staging. These fittings are available in Drop Forged and Pressed Steel and have been tested to EN74 Standards

Wrapover Coupler - 0.66kg

The Wrapover Coupler, also known as a Putlog, is a heavy duty fitting designed to secure transoms (board supports) or Putlogs to ledgers, connecting two 48.3mm tubes at right angles. This fitting can also be used in lighting, rigs, staging and guard rails.This fitting is Not designed to be load bearing. Our Wrapover Coupler is tested to BS1139-2.2 and has a slip resistence of 1.02 kN along the transom. This fitting is available in Drop Forged or Pressed Steel.

Pressed Steel Sleeve Coupler - 1.0kg

The Pressed Steel Sleeve Coupler is designed to connect end to end joints on standards, ledgers or bracing. It's wide range of adjustability means it is also possible to fit various sizes. As with all of our scaffolding fittings, they conform to EN74 which is the most recent British Standards.

Joint Pin - drop forged 1.17kg, pressed steel 0.7kg

The Metal Store's Joint Pin is a heavy duty pressing, designed to connect two 48.3mm scaffold tubes end on end. This fitting has a longer body to allow for bending resistance. It can be used with all types of scaffolding, guard rails, staging and also light rigs. Our Joint Pins conform to BS1139-2 and are available in Drop Forged (1.17kg) or Pressed Steel (0.7kg).

Girder Coupler (Gravlok) - 1.36kg

Our Fixed Girder Coupler also known as a Gravlock Coupler, is designed to connect 48.3mm outside diameter scaffold tube to a range of structural sections up to a maximum flange thickness of 45mm. These fittings are to be used in pairs, zinc plated and tested to a AS1576 standard.

Swivel Girder Coupler - 1.62kg

The Metal Store's Swivel Girder Coupler also known as a Swivel Gravlock, is designed to connect 48.3mm outside diameter scaffold tube to a range of structural sections up to a maximum flange thickness of 45mm at any angle through 360 degrees. These fittings are to be used in pairs, zinc plated and tested to a AS1576 standard.

Pressed Steel Base Plate - 0.37kg

Our Pressed Steel Base Plate is designed for use with lightly loaded applications, this is an economy type of base plate intended to provide a weight bearing flat surface to permit even load distribution of scaffold standards. It is manufactured from carbon steel to the very latest British Standards.

Galvanised ScaffoldingTube

Our galvanised scaffolding tube has a wall thickness of 3.2mm and conforms to EN-10219 Grade: S355J0H supplied in 5ft, 8ft, 10ft, 13ft, 16ft and 19ft lengths.

All our scaffold tubes are manufactured in the United Arab Emirates in accordance with all British Standards, meaning they're of the highest quality.

Manufactured from 60.3mm outside diameter tube and 48.3mm high grade inner tube. The threaded portion is friction welded to the outer tube to produce a lighter weight prop. These adjustable steel props are available from stock and manufactured in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 quality system accreditation.

The Metal Store supply a fully tested product that is independently tested in all positions. Many other companies test just one prop in one position and claim conformance, this is outside of the test criteria and makes the claim of compliance invalid. Our props are Finished in one coat, air dried and manufactured to BS4074:1982 and tested to BS5507-3:1982. The head and Base Plates 150 x 150 x 6mm to BS4360 with 38mm diameter hole. The prop pin 080M40 BS970.

All orders placed before 11am are shipped the same day for delivery the next working day, orders placed after 11am on Friday or during the weekend are delivered on Tuesday.  As with all third party deliveries we can not be held responsible if you do not receive your order the next working day as this is out of our control.

Under the distance selling act you have the right to return any fittings, however they must be unused and in a resaleable condition, you must notify us by using the Ebay contact service within 14 days of receiving the goods of your intention to return the goods, you then have 14 days from the date you tell us to send the goods back, this will be at your cost.
