Listing is for a growing rhizome /root of bearded Iris Germanica “Beverly Sills”, planted in 1/2 L container. All rhizomes have new growth.

Beverly Sills is a new and stunningly beautiful large-flowering Iris germanica variety that produces an abundance of delicate looking coral-pink flowers that stand atop ever-increasing lance-shaped green foliage. These outstanding plants bloom from May through to June, reach a mature height of 90cm and will also make excellent cut flower displays to be enjoyed within the home.

Position: Full sun

Soil: well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline soil

Rate of growth: average

Flowering period: May to June

Hardiness: fully hardy

Garden care: Plant shallowly with the upper part of the rhizome sitting on the surface of the soil (they love sunshine on their roots!), incorporating a LOW nitrogen fertiliser in the planting hole ( bone meal is best). Ideal for rockeries and front of border displays. Plant out as soon as possible but not in frost or waterlogged soil.

Remove the stems after flowering from the base as this will concentrate the plant's energy into producing new rhizomes. Divide and replant about every three years. PLEASE NOTE: plants need time to establish, so might not flower first year after planting. After a few years when clumps become congested, divide and re-plant in fresh soil. Feed in spring at least a month before flowering and after flowering. I recommend to use bone meal.

Plants might be sent without pots as I re-use. I combine postage if you buy different listings. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class for just £3.70 for up to 2 kg. If you buy a lot of plants and a total weight is above 2 kg, I might ask for additional contribution towards postage.

Disclaimer: Dear fellow gardeners, with due respect I cannot be held responsible for plants that have been in your care for weeks: I will have no knowledge of conditions they were kept in. Replanted and newly planted need extra care, might need protection from frost, wet or dry weather, need good watering, etc. If you have issues with the plants upon their arrival let me know asap.
