This product seems to have been the staple of our grannies and would bring back the memories for many Asian ladies. It was believed to add a glow to the face and hence was a favorite among many Asian ladies. Created by a Hong Kong company, Sam Fong Cosmetic Co. Ltd., it was used copiously in the past by the Chinese ladies who threaded fine facial hair too.

Sam Fong Hoi Tong Powder is traditionally applied prior to “threading”, a hair removal technique using a cotton thread, to shape eyebrows and achieve smooth face complexion by the Chinese. The powder is known to help reduce facial oil allowing for effective threading.
