the author describes the history of language of deaf and dumb attributing the primate to spanish people. To the opposite french people invented a system two centuries after.

Andres moved in Italy when in 1767 the Order was closed. He stayed in Italy buntil his death

Prima edizione italiana del 1796 di questa curiosa opera del gesuita spagnolo Giovanni Andres.

L'autore ripercorre la storia del linguaggio dei sordo muti attribuendone il primato agli spagnoli, i primi ad aver inventato un sistema al contrario dei francesi che inventarono un metodo ben due secoli dopo.

Quando nel 1767 l'Ordine dei Gesuiti venne proibito in Spagna, Andres si trasferì in Italia dove visse fino alla morte.
