Description

This is a veteran, well circulated, "Un Peso Oro" note from the "El Banco De La Republica" at Bogota, Colombia. It is dated October 12, 1964, during the Presidency of Guillermo León Valencia. He served as the 21st president of the country from 1962 until 1966.

Colombia printed this type "1 Peso Oro" notes with 8 dates between 1959 and 1966. This type, with a security thread, was continued until the July 20, 1966 date run. Then, in the middle of that date run they removed it and continued with 10 more dates, without the security thread, until the last January 1, 1977 date.
