Description

This is a scalloped dish made by the Japanese Aoki Brothers Company 青木兄弟商会, which was established in 1890. It's decorated in alternating panels of red and blue with red, green and gilt flowers. In the center is the Japanese phoenix (Hōō, 鳳凰).

Size

Approximately 6.5" across.

Condition

There is a small (~2mm) chip on the back of the edge, almost invisible from the front (please see the pictures where I point it out for more detail.) The gilt is somewhat worn. There are some old sticker remnants on the back.
