anyway, i really want to like them.. and i did!  they are awesome and totally sound.  there is some sort of composite toe action and reinforcements around the ankle.  solid boots that i did not hesitate to wear on my bike, on the hwy, everywhere.  they did great in the rain.  i believe they are leather- they look and feel like leather but are listed as microfibre.  i do not know what 'micro fiber' means.  

they look like sneaks, they are all day comfortable and you could wear them anywhere w/o looking like mr. weird motorcycle guy.  

they just didn't fit right.  size 11 on tag and i normally wear a 10.5 or 11, but with these there was some very, very slight contact on one big toe which is a feeling i cannot stand.  so i'm going to say they fit more like a US 10.5 ..  i did no cleaning on these before the photo shoot.  insides are very clean, no smells and they come with some timberland inserts.  the outsides just need a polish and they'd be ready to go.  but they are ready right now if you want to skip the polish..
