The first  1234G touch tone payphone was introduced at the 1964 New York World's Fair. The payphones were White.  From what is known all of these white 1234G payphones were destroyed after the world's fair ended. Other telephone items such as the picture phone also made their debut at the 1964 Worlds fair 

 

When the 1234 G 10 button payphones came out Green, Black, Beige and Chrome were offered. The 1234G payphone in itself is rare. Not many were ever put in service. Soon after the single slot payphone came out.

 

 Now is your chance to have a Black 1234G payphone made by Western Electric and Bell Systems.   have   The housing has been sandblasted and powder coated Black. If you wanted a nice black 10 button Western Electric 1234G payphone here is your chance. Comes with a beautiful chrome vault  door and all locks and keys. 

This model requires a 685 subset to work. It has not been tested 

 

We can set this up with  a Black  685 subset  on an original  backboard if you would like for an additional cost.
