The Wand Pendant
A wonderful little wand pendant made out of a piece of knotted Hawthorn wood that I found while walking near Glastonbury, the sacred Isle of Avalon . The wood has been carved into a point, sanded smooth, both by hand, and given a coat of local beeswax polish (it will receive another before it heads out to meet its new home) while leaving the bark on its handle. It's hung from a generous length of waxed cotton cord with a vintage wooden bead. The wand measures about 5 inches/ 12 cm in length. Hawthorn The Hawthorn Tree, is a tree associated with the fey, love, sex and heart healing.

Wood for most of the items comes from my land and that of my friends and family. I forage for wood rather than harvesting it from living trees.
