I believe the material that the pieces of Abalone Shell are in to be Lucite / Resin material.

There is an ink stamp on the bottom that reads, "Hand made from Abalone Shells taken by divers from the Ocean Floor off  California"

It is oval, and measures 5" wide by 3 1/" deep and 7?8" high.

The swivel pen holder is metal, and will swivel up and down and completely around.

This is an estate find and is being sold as is as found, I have no other information or history about this item.
