Here is a 1929 $50 Federal Reserve Bank Note. It is from the New York district and has been graded Choice Uncirculated 63PPQ by PCGS. If you are looking for a generic $50 FRBN in unicrculated condition, this is the note to get.
During the depression Roosevelt ordered a bank holiday and shut down the banks for a day. At that time the BEP used paper that was slated to print nationals and printed Federal Reserve Bank notes in a hurry. This is one of those emergency notes.
