These plates were issued in 1974 and had a limited edition (we believe 2500) based on other similar plates from other universities for sale.

Issued by University of Illinois Alumni Association and likely given based on a significant donation and/or fundraising campaign.

While sterling silver plates like these come up from time to time, specific universities are fairly rare. If you are an Alumnus from here, this might be one of those rare times.

This plate has been kept in fantastic shape as it was in a frame that unfortunately was falling apart. We decided to just list the plate itself as the frame was not salvageable.

Sterling plate is 8 inches across and weighs 5.75 troy ounces.
