These bulbs are 4.75 to 5.5 inches (12/14cm) in circumference and carefully hand-picked and checked for quality before shipment. When planted, the eye catching flowers (Up to 7 per stem) grow on loose stalks blooming from bottom to top. They blossom one by one, delivering more color each day for a long lasting display! Planting Instructions:
- Plant gladiolus bulbs in the spring or summer after the ground has thawed and there is no longer danger of frost.
- Choose a location with well-drained soil that receives full sun. Loosen soil prior to planting.
- Dig a hole in loosened soil 6-8"" deep. Place the bulb in the hole with the pointed end facing up. Space each bulb 4-6” apart.
- Cover with soil and water well so that the soil above the bulbs settles. Keep soil moist during periods of dry weather but do not overwater.
* For a longer blooming season, plant gladiolus bulbs every 2 weeks until mid summer.
