The Sanriku Railway Type 36-101 "Kit, Forever" was operated from March 2012 until May 2013 with cherry blossom wrapping by the "Kit, Forever Project" in support of Sanriku Railway, led by Nestlé Japan. After that, the wrapping has been peeled off and it is operated as a "standard color" again. The Sanriku Railway Type 36-105 "Kit, Forever No. 2" is the second car with cherry blossom wrapping by "Kit, Forever Project". This vehicle (Type 36-105) was selected as the second wrapping vehicle because it was also called a "miracle vehicle" that escaped the disaster of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Since April 2013, it has been operated as "Kit, all the way No. 2".
