ESTATE FIND: Vintage 1950s cotton + rayon long line bullet bra from higher-end bra manufacturer, Gossard.  Features bullet / cone cups, with lower half of the embroidered with a dainty design and a softer (rayon?) inner lining of the lower half to protect skin form the back end of the embroidery.

In between the cups and descending to the waist is a super string elastic inset panel. There are two  flexible side stays and a double ro of 7 hooks and eyes in back.  The adjustable straps are cotton + rayon with an 3 inch elastic piece for extra comfort.

There are a few flaws which do not impact the wearability:  There are some blue stains on the right side panels  & the underside of one of the bra straps- which I would chalk up to someone trying to use the laundry additive bluing for extra whiteness.  Also the casing for one of the stays has rust marks.

Will leave it to the new owner to care for as they see fit - otherwise this piece is still highly wearable!

GOSSARD was founded in the 1920s and manufactured bras, corsets, etc. in Chicago until 1979, when they moved to the UK.  They are still in business today/
