Description

This is a heavily circulated, veteran, "One Pound" note from the "Central Bank of Egypt". This type was issued in 1978.
 
"Standard Catalog of World Paper Money" (Modern Issues 1961-) by Albert Pick. #44c.

Face: • 2223399 • or ٢٢٢٣٣٩٩ in Arabic. • Brown and black on multicolor underprint. • The Funerary Complex of Sultan Qaitbay in Cairo, it was built in 1474.
 

Back: Ancient statues. • Watermark: Ancient scribe.
 
The Note: An over circulated note, it saw many hands. It has a number of edge tears, a couple of tape repairs and numerous pinholes. The note will be sent in a new large currency holder that protects it. As grading is subjective, please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
