Please read all the shipping information below in red also! Antique Vintage Lady's Victorian Wool Felt Hat. Original Phill Strann of California. Inside label states it is 22 1/2. I am not a millinary hat expert so I'm guessing it is made from a wool felt. Black in color with a fine mesh lavender netting around brim. Two silk rose flowers attached on top, one large, one bud . Underneath it is black also. Beige ribbon type sweatband with thin elastic cord to secure. Has been in storage for decades stored in a leather hat box out of the sunlight, dust, etc. Please see photos. Has that nice old antique aroma! The hats I'm listening belonged to my paternal grandmother who was born in the late 1800s in Germany. She came to the United States & lived back East until marrying my grandfather & moving to California in 1916. I'm guessing the hat dates to between 1900-1940. Victorian? Edwardian? I'm not sure what era, style it would be classified. About 15.5" across x 14" front-to-back. Great for theater props, period costumes!
