This pair of vintage China cats make for a charming addition to any collection or home decor. Standing at approximately 10cm tall, these ceramic/pottery cats showcase intricate detailing and are perfect for cat lovers or collectors of animal figurines. The manufacturer of these cats is unknown, but the quality and craftsmanship are evident in their design.

These came from my late mother’s house where they were displayed in a china cupboard. I think she had them in the 1980s

I’ve taken photos under a light to show the condition. There are no evident chips or damage, but there is some crazing which I’ve zoomed in on the photos to show, this seems to have been part of the manufacturing process because it’s quite regular. There are some dots on the Ivory sections which, again, I think must be a feature. The one has some, what appears to be dirty marks (see final two photos), but I’ve tried cleaning it off with a cotton bud and it doesn’t come off, so maybe that too is part of the “ancient” characteristic feature. None of this detracts from the attractive appeal of these little cats.
