This beautiful tribal art solid wood box with removable lid has a porcelain tile piece inlaid in the lid with a “Thunderbird” design and is dated March, 1982.  It has been well-preserved over the years and is in very good condition with no chips or cracks to the tile, but a few scratches in the wooden lid and one side of the box.  See photos for close ups of these scratches.  Those scratches could easily be sanded out and re-finished to make it perfect.  Or you could remove the tile and display it on the wall or on a stand.
